Unfortunate times have struck Adobe Heights once again. At first the word spreads at the bars but soon after it is in the street: Lady Peris, a fairly wealthy and extremely beautiful noblewoman is dead, found skinless amongst the bodies of her four loyal guards. Found near the site of the deaths was a large tigress beast woman. She resisted capture and is believed responsible for the deaths.
Dormitory of Servitude

Winds, an administrator and a member on the guild council of nine for the Chiaroscuro hub, christened the opening of the Dormitory of Servitude; a facility designed to offer a better living standard for slaves who accept their positions and cooperate. As a personal pet project of his, he promises it should make life better for the slaves and at the same time produce a better product.
“I believe people are just like any other living thing in they will flourish in a more stable and hospitable environment. Slave pens, lack of food and poor hygiene only degrades the quality of the individual.” – Winds

Patrician of House Nellens Mauled!

This evening one of the Patricians of House Nellens was torn to pieces by what appears to have been a large wild cat. His two body guards were also murdered, one by the same rending claws, another by what appear to be stones to the head. Authorities are investigating if any wild animal from private collections had escaped.

Word comes from the Blessed Isle. Late in the evening last night, the first steps of actual war were taken.
House Tepets Vermilion Legion attacked a Cathak training facility. A talon of the Red Piss Legions reportedly worst soldiers fought against 200 young Cathak blooded, 10 elder instructors, and another 100 mortal and patrician soldiers and maintenance people. It quickly became a standoff siege that lasted for three hours, when a trio of Mnemon sorcerers arrived on the scene. With devastating magic, they broke the stalwart Cathak defenses, and assisted the Vermilion Legion soldiers in slaughtering everyone within, save one man who only barely escaped with his life intact. Afterward, everything was presumably raided, and the facility entirely razed to the ground.
Not fifteen minutes before the survivor of the attack delivered word to his House, a message had come to Cathak Cainan from Mnemon herself.
"My apologies, cousin. It was neither my plan nor my want to open hostilities with your illustrious House, especially in these times of dire need of every man and woman that we have to drive back the evil Anathema. Unity, of course, is something desperately needed, especially after the events in the threshold in these past few years. However, because of that selfsame unity, I am obligated to back my allies, that there may be some winner in this coming war, lest both sides fall equally, leaving nobody to protect and rule Creation.
