We have changed it so the Command Background represents Soldiers and Followers represents Non-Combat Support (or less than Elite Soldiers).
The Followers background represents every kind of non-combat grouping, from villagers to a whole factory of workers. This background is generally self supporting, as the people in question actually work for a living, however, this background can be used to represent soldiers. These soldiers may never be equivalent to Elite Soldiers, that is the grounds of Command.
While Followers represent people who are loyal to your character and follow him to an ends of the Creation, Command represents a different group of people. Command follows soldiers who are apart of organizations or hired mercenaries on most occasions; this meaning that they can be taken away by the head of these groups or persuaded to follow different avenues with the right price. Understand though, nothing is the say your character isn't the head of the band in question, but realize that isn't always the case.
Through training or through charms, a character may convert Followers to Command with the approval of a Storyteller.
In all other ways the backgrounds will follow the clarifications listed in the Scroll of Heroes.
Followers Background
Because Command is available for all Exalt types and represents troops, Followers now will almost always represents non-combatants, and as such, more are available for the first three levels of the background. The Followers background is altered as so:
- Followers 1: 50
- Followers 2: 175
- Followers 3: 300
