We on Destiny's Forge appreciate and encourage players to tailor their gaming experience, and as such we do allow the creation of and use of non-canon additions to the Exalted game. Here you will find the basic rules for submitting items.
Please adhere to the following Guidelines when creating custom items.
- No copyrighted material can be submitted. This includes using something you found on the Internet without the creator's express permission. Original works are preferred.
- Nothing drawn directly from a recognizable pop culture source such as movies, video games, magazines, comic books or the like. God of War, Assassin's Creed, Final Fantasy - we love you all, but not your gear. Be inspired by these sources, but do not take directly from them.
- Keep it thematic. Nothing ruins the atmosphere of the game more than the introduction of something that never really finds a home. Look at gaps in the canon that you think you can fill, rather than attempting to create whole new sections of it.
- Understand that the Administrators handling Custom submissions reserve the right to deny any submission, but more than that, they have the right to ask for submissions to be altered to bring them into better standing with the chat's goals and setting.
- Please include a history or some editorial comments with the submission. We do not want statistics and only statistics. We want to understand how it fits into the world of Exalted. So provide us some fluff or background.
Submissions should be posted on the forum, where it can be discussed and eventually denied or approved. Once approved, an submission will find it's way onto the web site and database, if applicable. More specific guidelines for certain kinds of custom submissions can be found beneath: |
